A Top Historical Destination: Williamsburg, Virginia

If you are interested in the history of the United States, then a trip to Williamsburg, Virginia might just be the perfect place for you. It is full of rich history, colonial houses, and beautiful scenery. As an avid traveller, I have been to many different places and Williamsburg was one of the nicest. It felt like you were stepping back into a simpler time, and everyone was so friendly. Colonial Williamsburg has so many historical activities to offer as well.   Governor's Palace (Shown Above) We stayed at the Williamsburg Lodge by Marriott Autograph Collection. It is newly renovated and you are only a short walk from Colonial Williamsburg, which is where we spent a majority of our time when we were there.   First, on our trip we walked the Colonial Williamsburg Historical Park and William and Mary College.
